Succulent Care and Policy

Thank you for choosing Glasshouse Tropicals , please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the care and policies for our succulent arrangements.

Light:

     To keep the colours vibrant and prevent stretching, 6+hours of bright light is necessary the more the better.If you don't have adequate light, a grow light will work wonders, there are some stylish options out there.

Watering frames / Teacups / Pots:

      Watering is important , check them every couple weeks wait until they are 95-100% dry before soaking. An easy way to check moisture levels is with a wooden skewer, just stick it in the dirt, wait 5 mins to remove it. If the stick comes out without any moist dirt they are ready for a drink. To water your succulents, simply fill up a sink or bowl and submerge until it stops bubbling, let it drip dry as there is proper drainage.

 

Watering Cactus / Succulent Open Terrariums:  

     These require minimal care once every month or two. To water, add a dribble to not to get the tops of any plants where water may pool (example : center of a snake plant)  you don't want to soak them through they don't have a drainage hole. Succulents and cactus also enjoy bright light.

Rotating:

      To keep the succulents growing evenly rotate your frames & spin your teacups weekly. so they all get their share of light.
